Apple Wine and Fig Sherry

So I completed the Apple Wine and bottled it up into a Demi John, but a little of it wouldn’t fit in and had to leave it in Fermentation bucket that I have and bottled it straight up into Wine Bottles. I think though that this has now turned up Vinegar, but nothing wrong with a bit of vinegar can cook with it after all.

The fig sherry was started on the 2nd of October and sat in the fermentation bucket for 3 days after this it was split into two demijohn’s with air vales on the 8th of October, this should be ready to bottle in 21 days. After that it will stay in the bottles until Christmas time when it should hopefully be ready to drink.

Brewing Apple Wine

Yesterday (23rd September 2011) I picked the apples from the garden, got a full buckets worth and used 6lbs for the brew.

This is one of the simpler recipes that I am going to attempt brewing.
