On Saturday 24th September I bought some new equipment for brewing. I bought two Demi John’s and Air Valves which are going to be very useful for brewing as I can use these Demi John’s and Air Valves will allow me to leave my beers, wines and other forms of alcohol to brew unattended, previously I had to keep an eye on them as I had to brew in 2 litre bottles without air valves.
I used my two new Demi John’s to siphon some Ginger Beer which I had two brewing in 2 litre bottles the yeast was still active so these bottles were expanding and every day or two days had to let the gas out. By using the Demi John I can leave the Ginger Beer too it.
My new process for brewing Ginger Beer will be to add all the ingredients in the 2 litre bottle then transfer it to a Demi John. By using a 2 litre bottle I can make sure the measurements are correct.
